Synthetic oils have great advantages over semi-synthetic or mineral ones from all points of view:
- Double exchange interval
- Much superior protection
- Engine longevity is greatly increased
- The manufacturing process and the components are not the same, the chemistry is different, and more expensive
- The molecules of fully synthetic oils are uniform and in long chains, the semi-synthetic or mineral ones are non-uniform and shorter.
The only disadvantage of synthetic oils is the initial cost per liter. In the long run it is actually cheaper, because the fuel savings and wear and tear greatly offset the cost of the oil. If you can afford a small price difference, always use Polytron synthetic oils.
