After using the Polytron engine oils that contain the MTC additive package, you will notice the following fairly quickly:
- A concentration of suspended metals 4 to 7 times lower, which means a reduction of wear 4 to 7 times less;
- Viscosity, viscosity index and total base number (TBN) are maintained at their acceptable level 4 to 7 times longer, which means that the oil can be used for 4 to 7 times longer, extending the intervals maintenance 4 to 7 times.
TBN (total base number) indicates the degree of oxidation of the engine oil (the lower the TBN, the lower its ability to neutralize acidic compounds and the more likely it is to be corrosive). Acidic compounds are caused by flue gases entering the lubrication system and metal particles entering the oil as a result of the wear process. When the TBN number is less than 2, it is recommended to replace the oil.
